Jaeger #16 - Heart of Darkness Part 3

Marc, Sandy and their companions from the Psionic Investigation Unit arrive at Azharoth’s front door. A butler tells them Azharoth is not home, but Marc sees through his lies and orders him to take them down to the inner sanctum. There, Azharoth wakes and greets them with his entire inner circle – and about two dozen other vampires. A fierce battle ensues, and although a great many vampires are killed, they manage to get the upper hand. Sandy and Azharoth battle telepathically above the main fight. Sandy proves to be the stronger, and would have beaten Azharoth had he not summoned Akhkharu. The Blood God appears in a roar of thunder, and the battle stops as all of his followers turn to face him. Marc, who had lost his heart – literally – to Bobby Lightning Wolf, picks himself up and launches into a berserk killing frenzy. Sandy spreads her arms and unleashes the full force of a good being called Enki. Enki banishes Akhkharu, and wipes everyone’s memory clean. Only Sandy remembers what really happened. She tells Marc that because he is also a vampire, she no longer wants to see him.
